Banyards wins £140,000 new business on first day of 2008

15th Jan 2008

Dorset horticultural company Banyards opened its post on the first day back to work in 2008 to £140,000 worth of new business.

Its landscape department was awarded two major contracts from Hall & Woodhouse for landscaping the grounds at two of its Dorset pubs.

Then came a new contract for maintenance works at IBM Farnborough and IBM Basingstoke, plus a renewed contract from IBM North Harbour for ongoing grounds maintenance, on top of grounds maintenance for IBM Hursley Park, which Banyards has handled for 15 years.

Bournemouth University awarded contracts for grounds maintenance and the hire and maintenance of interior plantscapes at several of its sites.

Those contracts were won following many years maintaining the grounds at various higher educational sites in Bournemouth, including Bournemouth & Poole College and The Arts Institute.

Banyards managing director, Paul Edwards said: “It's a great start to what looks like a prosperous New Year for us and all our clients.”
